Steven is a 5th-generation professional fisherman who started fishing in 1978. He initially started working on his family’s boat and bought himself a fishing licence for $2.50!

What Steven loves about fishing: I love being my own boss and being out on the water (it’s a great office!). I take a lot of pride in being able to provide seafood for those who can’t catch it for themselves.

Why Steven loves the marine environment: As fishermen, we’re the guardians of the marine environment and we’re very lucky to be out there everyday. It’s an incredible environment that’s great to work in and far better than any office I could think of!
