Dean started as a deckhand in the mid 90s. He became a fisherman few months later. In 1996 he bought his fishing business. Since then, he is fishing in the Hawkesbury River on his trawler Cathy.

Dean is a recognised OceanWatch Master Fisherman, trained and experienced in responsible and sustainable fishing practices.
