Russell is a professional fisherman based out of Berkeley on the NSW South Coast near Wollongong. Russell fishes mainly in Lake Illawarra and from South coast beaches in the NSW Estuary General Fishery and the NSW Ocean Haul Fishery.

Russell is a recognised OceanWatch Master Fisherman, trained and experienced in responsible and sustainable fishing practices.
