Peter Higgins is a first generation professional fisherman based in Port Lincoln who started fishing in 1980 as a deckhand and by 1987 was an endorsed professional fisherman. He works from a 5.6m aluminium boat “Sea K”. Peter’s son is heavily involved in the fishing operation, working closely with Peter as part of the family business. Peter’s love for fishing and the ocean began at a young age, where he was brought up in a coastal community.
