Danny grew up on the Coffs Coast and was always in and around the water surfing, fishing and snorkelling. In high school he did his work experience on a trap and line boat. After that Danny started his first paid commercial fishing job in 2006.  After working on the Prawn Trawler for a few year he finally moved on to a trap and line boat with Danny Stewart. He was seasick every day for two weeks straight. Danny and his fiance Mel bought their first boat, the Lematt, in 2016 to start their own commercial fishing adventure.

Danny’s fresh catch is available at the Coffs Harbour Fishermen’s Co-Op.

Danny is a recognised OceanWatch Master Fisherman, trained and experienced in responsible and sustainable fishing practices.
