Stephen Bunney
Stephen is an experienced 2nd generation fisherman and Abalone diver who began professionally fishing in 1989. Stephen fishes waters in the far south coast of New South Wales, on his dive vessel ‘The Val’, a 19ft haines hunter, using hookah and freediving fishing methods.
Stephen has a strong connection to the extraordinary abundant and biodiverse marine ecosystems he dives on the far south coast of NSW. Stephen advocates for the recognition, the maintenance and sustainability of his region and for all of the Great Australian Southern Reef system that fringes and connects marine ecosystems right across the bottom half of Australia.
